Reinstalls and new computers

A fresh Windows install is the single best cure for a slow, cluttered computer. We do it with Jawtech Deploy, the imaging system we build for companies that install Windows on hundreds of machines: clean, fully updated, every driver in place, with none of the trial software and clutter. Your files, bookmarks and email go back on afterwards, checked.

Will I lose my photos and email?+
No. Before we touch anything we copy everything off and check the copy. Your files go back exactly where they were, and we show you they are there before you pay.
What happens to my data afterwards?+
It stays on our bench, never online. Once you have confirmed everything is back, we securely wipe our copy. If you want to keep the backup drive, we can supply one at cost.
What if you cannot fix it?+
You pay only the diagnosis. We will tell you plainly whether the computer is worth repairing, and if not, we can rescue your files and move them to a new one.
Do you repair broken hard drives or screens?+
We do not open up failed drives: a drive that clicks, will not spin or has been dropped needs a recovery lab, and we can point you to one. We work with hardware that still runs but whose software is in a bad state: computers that will not start, damaged partition tables, broken boot records, Windows that will not load.
Do you do electrical work for thermostats or alarms?+
We set up, connect and troubleshoot smart thermostats, alarms and appliances, including swapping a thermostat on existing low-voltage wiring. Anything needing an electrician or a gas technician, we will say so.
How does the loaner laptop work?+
While your computer is in with us, you can borrow a laptop for a flat $25, for as long as the repair takes. We have only a few, so ask when you book.
