Learn to Fucking DRIVE people!!!
I've been driving the same route to work now for about 8 years. I take a four to 6 lane highway most of the way. Over the years I've devised and conducted a few experiments and made some really insightful observations.
And now the driving rant.
#1 It's the dumb ass shitty drivers who slow everything down!
#2 There are a large number of people who are dumb ass shitty drivers! I can't list all the reasons but theses are some of the things that make your driving suck.
Tailgateing why are all you fools following so close, if you have space you hardly have to slow down if at all to react to small changes from the car in front of you. When everyone is trying to drive up everyone elses ass the guy in front taps his brakes and a KM back I come to a dead stop. I think they should mandate a minimum 50% of cars be standard transmission let people learn to take their foot off the gas without putting it on the brake.
Learn to merge why do people try and merge as soon as they see a dotted line, use the whole lane drive up match speeds and merge. Don't slap on a signal block everyone behind you, stop, then force your way into traffic stopping the other lane.
Not letting people merge I've convinced that at some point a few people learned how to merge properly, but don't bother anymore because they have been cut off or blocked so many time by assholes who don't leave space. I tried a few experiments to see which lane is the fastest, my conclusion is that the right slow lane is the fastest if you leave extra space and help people merge. So much so that you could speed up the whole lane if you could get people to merge correctly. I also learned that even if you leave a nice big space for people to merge into slow traffic they would rather drive to the end of the lane and stop everyone if it gets them a couple of cars ahead. I also learned that leaving a space of more than a car length in front of you in slow and heavy traffic can infuriate the people behind you for some reason. One particular asshole actually started honking at me then pull out into the merge lane roared past and pulled in front of me. I was so stunned by his utter stupidity I didn't react in time to speed up and cut him off plus I was in the wrong gear. I guess he lost his mind when I flipped him the bird for honking.
The slow pokes, come on people let's at least drive the speed limit. I have yet to find a road that my car could not handle driving the speed limit. None of the corners thew me off, no hill launched me airborne. For some reason I still see people driving 80 KM/h in the left lane when everyone else is doing 120 KM/h
The moron in the middle syndrome, I see it all the time peole put themselves in the center of the lane. News flash! you are not in the center of your car! Try and keep your car in one lane at a time. Don't drive on the shared line! Learn where your wheels are!
