How to solve the pentangle / fantastic five wire puzzle

I really like this puzzle  it's nice and hard. The puzzle took me a long time to figure it out the first time, but has more than made up for it watching my friends go crazy trying to solve it.

So if you really give up......take a look below.

The puzzle, ring at one end.

Put the ring on the short bar.

Pass the end bar with the ring thru the hole of the middle piece as far as the ball will let you. This is the key to solving the puzzle.

Once it's thru work the ring around so that it is around both ends.

Work the ring off the other side, takes a bit of juggling but it's not hard from here.

Voila.....
