How to find computer model from CMD line without powershell
cmdhow-topowershellsccmtask-sequence
Every find yourself looking at a failed deployment screen, wondering if a task sequence condition like model has been met, because your software didn't install?
If you are still using SCCM 2007 then you will not be able to use powershell to make you WMI query, but there are alternatives.
Enter WMIC....
You can get the model with the following DOS command.
c:\> Wmic csproduct get name
You can really do quite a bit with WMIC but i'm more used to using powershell.
WMIC /? will get you lots of info.
The powershell equivalent would be
PS C:\> GWMI win32_computersytem
