How to clear Surface Pro 3 TPM chip

bitlockerhow-topowershellsecuritysurface-prosyspreptpm

Recently ran into a problem trying to sysprep a surface pro 3, sysprep was complaining about bit locker and when I tried to anything with bitlocker it said that the TPM was defending against dictionary attacks. Reboot and clearing the keys from BIOS did not help. Found some good powershell that resolved the problem.

$tpm=get-wmiobject -class Win32_Tpm -namespace root\cimv2\security\microsofttpm

$tpm.DisableAutoProvisioning()

$tpm.SetPhysicalPresenceRequest(22)

Ran that rebooted then enabled bitlocker and disabled it again. Drive now shows as normal.
